Admissions

Admission Process

  1. Parent returns completed application packet.
  2. Student’s current school returns Teacher and Administrator Evaluations and school records.
  3. Admission Committee reviews completed application. Only appropriate candidates for the School are screened.
  4. Screening of appropriate students is scheduled and completed by the Admission Committee. Screenings will include standardized, diagnostic testing and age appropriate tasks focusing on reading, writing and spelling. This evaluation lasts approximately an hour to an hour and a half, depending upon the age of the child. Additionally, a parent interview will take place during the student’s screening. Both parents are encouraged to attend. A fee of $150 will be charged for this evaluation.
  5. A letter indicating the results of the screening will be sent to the parents within one month of the evaluation.
  6. Notification of the Admissions Committee’s decision is made on an individual basis and upon availability for the following school year. Decisions are made throughout the year with final decisions made by early spring.
