The Regular Program (grades 1-6)
Students must have the ability to work in small groups without disturbing others. They need to be of average or above average intelligence as measured on an individually administered test. In addition, students must have difficulties with one or more written language skills such as reading, spelling and written expression.
The nature and extent of each individual student's disability and capacity to benefit from the School's program determine acceptance.
Students are typically referred to the school by teaching professionals, physicians, other medical professionals and parents who have noticed a child who has special learning needs.
Interested families are encouraged to begin the application process as early as possible. Screenings typically begin in November and December and are completed in February. Applications may be downloaded or mailed. Please contact the Admission Office should a mailed application be preferred.
