Head of School Search

The search for The Schenck School's next Head of School is an important opportunity to build upon a legacy that has transformed the lives of children with dyslexia for more than 65 years, while continuing to advance ReadSource's broader impact. Throughout this process, our commitment to our students, families, faculty, greater community, and mission remains steadfast.

This page will serve as the central source for updates throughout the search. Here you'll find important announcements, the anticipated timeline, opportunities for community engagement, and answers to frequently asked questions. We invite you to visit regularly as we work together to identify the next leader who will build on Schenck's extraordinary tradition of excellence.

Our Search Partners

The Board of Trustees has selected Educators Collaborative (EC) to guide both the Interim and permanent Head of School searches. For more than 50 years, EC has partnered with independent schools across the country to identify exceptional leaders through a thoughtful, relationship-centered search process.

We are especially pleased to be working with Lisa Lyle and Joan Beauregard, two experienced independent school leaders who have successfully guided schools through leadership transitions. Joan's experience as former Head of Hamlin Robinson School, a nationally recognized school serving students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences, brings a unique understanding of Schenck's mission and community. Together, Lisa and Joan understand the importance of identifying a leader who is not only highly qualified, but also the right fit for The Schenck School's culture, values, and future.
