Dear Schenck School Community,
As we are now well into the new year, we would like to provide an update on the searches for an Interim Head of School for the 2022-2023 school year and a permanent Head of School to start July 2023.
Since December, the Search Committee has worked with our consultants to identify and interview Interim Head of School candidates. We have had three finalists visit campus and interview with the Search Committee. Now we are in the process of talking to their references and evaluating which candidate would be the best to lead our school next year. While the Interim will only be with us for one year, that transition time is critically important, and we want to ensure we have a talented, capable leader who will serve our community well.
Concurrent to the Interim search, our consultants are recruiting candidates for the permanent Head of School position that will begin in July 2023. We are making progress and anticipate interviewing additional Head of School candidates this spring. Like the process last fall, we plan to bring finalists to campus to interview, learn more about our programs, and meet with different constituent groups.
The Search Committee is committed to finding an outstanding Interim (2022-2023 school year) and permanent Head of School (July 2023). We appreciate the members of the Search Committee and the time they are investing in this process and thank all of you for your trust and support as we work to bring the very best leaders to The Schenck School.
