A Summer Adventure to Remember

This summer, The Schenck School buzzed with excitement as we hosted our annual Summer Adventures Camp—a time for students to learn, grow, and, most importantly, have fun! The program was a huge success, bringing together students, alumni, and staff for a season filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.

What made this summer particularly special was the involvement of our community. Many of our camp counselors were former students who have "soared on" from The Schenck School and returned to share their experiences and guidance with the next generation. We were also fortunate to have current and past teachers join us, bringing their expertise and passion for education to the program. Their presence added a wonderful sense of continuity and connection, as they helped foster a supportive and engaging environment for all participants.

Summer Adventures offered a variety of activities designed to keep students active, engaged, and excited about learning. Mornings were spent diving into enriching academic pursuits, ensuring that students kept their minds sharp while exploring new subjects and ideas. In the afternoons, the focus shifted to pure fun with our Afternoon Adventures, where students could choose from a wide range of activities tailored to their interests.

From basketball games that got hearts racing to calming yoga sessions that provided a peaceful retreat, there was something for everyone. Other activities included arts and crafts, science experiments, and outdoor games, all designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and physical activity. The energy was infectious, and it was clear that students were not just participating—they were thriving.

The success of Summer Adventures at The Schenck School is a testament to the strength of our community and the dedication of everyone involved. It was more than just a camp; it was a place where friendships were formed, skills were sharpened, and students left each day with smiles on their faces and stories to tell.

As we look back on this summer, we are filled with gratitude for the alumni, teachers, and staff who made it all possible. Their commitment to creating a fun, educational, and safe environment ensured that every student had an adventure to remember. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
