The Schenck School’s Annual Fund is a highlight of the fundraising year. The School relies on contributions from trustees, faculty and staff, current and past parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends to ensure that the quality of the program remains strong. Tuition provides for the basics of the education received at The Schenck School. The margin of excellence, that which is the hallmark of the entire Schenck School experience, is provided by the Annual Fund.
The Annual Fund directly impacts both students and faculty. These tax-deductible gifts support teacher salary increases, technology enhancement, and critical faculty and staff professional development. Not only are the funds important, but high participation from parents and all constituents plays a substantial role in demonstrating support to outside donors such as foundations.

The Annual Fund is one of the School’s fundraising priorities. Gifts to the Annual Fund, along with income from the Auction and Gala spending from the endowment, closes the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Schenck School education. These funds enrich the intellectual, social, and personal development of every student. The Annual Fund is used for the School’s current-year operating expenses. It’s also an opportunity for those who benefit from and appreciate the mission of the School to express gratitude to those who have made a difference in their lives.
Most independent schools cannot charge the full cost of educating students without pricing themselves out of the market, and our School is no different. While tuition at The Schenck School covers the basics, it is the additional revenue received from the Annual Fund, the Auction, and other activities which provides the depth and breadth of the total experience students receive at this specialized school.
The School’s financial strength is dependent upon the participation of all members of the School family. Your involvement generates enthusiasm and encourages others to join you in supporting the School. Additionally, when we ask foundations and corporations for support, the participation rate from those we serve, both past and present, is an indicator that the School is strong, valued, and worthy of support.
